Calorie Calculator
Free online calorie calculator. Calculate your daily calorie needs (BMR & TDEE) based on age, weight, height, and activity level.
Enter your weight and height
How It Works
- Enter your sex, age, height, and current weight.
- Select your activity level (sedentary, light, moderate, active, or very active).
- The calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation to compute your basal metabolic rate (BMR).
- BMR is multiplied by your activity factor to get your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE).
- Use the result to set calorie targets for weight loss, maintenance, or muscle gain.
Formula
Men: BMR = 10 x weight(kg) + 6.25 x height(cm) - 5 x age + 5
Women: BMR = 10 x weight(kg) + 6.25 x height(cm) - 5 x age - 161
TDEE = BMR x activity factor (1.2 sedentary to 1.9 very active)
Example
Input: Male | 30 years | 70 kg | 175 cm | Moderately active
Result: BMR: 1,649 kcal/day
TDEE: 2,556 kcal/day
FAQ
It uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, widely regarded as the most accurate method for estimating basal metabolic rate.
Total Daily Energy Expenditure - the total calories your body burns per day, including physical activity.
No. All calculations run entirely in your browser. No personal data is ever sent to a server.
A deficit of about 500 kcal/day below your TDEE typically leads to approximately 0.5 kg of weight loss per week.
